JSDD, a multi-service agency for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities was established over thirty years ago with a single group home. The agency has evolved into a leader in the work of creating spaces and opportunities for people in this community to live, learn, and grow to their fullest potential. JSDD now operates 16 residences in addition to a holistic arts-based day habilitation program, The WAE Center.  Heidi Gallery at JSDD showcases the work of WAE studio artists, in addition to professional artists and works to create a fully inclusive public space dedicated to creative endeavors.

In 2023, JSDD launched Life | Home | Tech (LHT) using technology solutions to support individuals in gaining a greater level of independence, achieving goals, optimizing daily routines and improving their quality of life.  LHT later expanded its reach to serve a broader IDD community and older adults. Life | Home |Tech collaborates with community partners to raise awareness and educate the public about how technology is unlocking new possibilities for self-sufficiency and joyful, independent living.  

The Inclusive Healthy Communities grant has helped LHT further its commitment to expand access to JSDD’s residents and members, while also challenging perceptions and advocating for systemic change in the broader community.
