Spectrum for Living

Spectrum for Living is partnering with the County of Bergen to recruit and train adults with developmental disabilities to serve as volunteers on advisory committees within Bergen County government. Including individuals with disabilities on advisory committees gives them a direct voice in decision-making processes affecting disability services.

Our initiative aims to create a sustainable model for diversity, inclusion, and equity by offering adults with developmental disabilities an opportunity to be their own advocates. This is a fundamental step toward creating more inclusive policies and practices at the committee level of county government.
